Dealing with the Physical and Emotional Changes during Menopause

The emotional and physical changes that menopause brings are two things that a woman coming of age will have to deal with.  As the body transitions into menopause, there will be a decrease of estrogen in the body, affecting many aspects of a woman’s life.  Emotionally, she may feel mood swings, anxiety and depression.  Physically, a woman will cease to have menstruation.

These changes in a woman should prompt her to take action and prepare for the many changes that will happen to her body.  Being prepared and anticipating all the changes that are about to happen will prepare her for the worst.  Though the transition will take about a year, the effects may linger far longer and when dealt with inadequately, may affect the woman in the long run.

With advances in cosmetics and a quick trip to the salon, the physical changes that may occur can easily be augmented.  The more pressing issue for some would be dealing with the emotional and behavioural problems that come with menopause, make sure to discuss these issues with your doctor so that you can be guided accordingly through the transition.

Remember that a happy disposition in life and a positive attitude will go a long way in these monumental change in a woman’s life.  The support from family and friends and an extended understanding coming from them will surely go appreciated.
