Ellagic acid

Ellagic acid is a naturally occurring compound with amazing health-giving properties.  It is also known by its other names as Benzoaric acid, eleagic acid, elagostasine, gallogen.  It can be found in berries such as  cranberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries and pomegranate.  It has been also found that the berry that contains the most amount of ellagic acid are raspberries.  It is produced by plants to ward off pests and diseases.
