Smooth Skin With Natural Acids
After the age of thirty or so the connective tissue in your skin starts to break down, oil production slows down and wrinkles begin to appear. Dermatologists have many tools for tackling aging and wrinkles and there are a whole host of beauty products out there designed to combat them. There are also a lot of life style changes you can make that will affect the condition of your skin - you can see some lifestyle related natural skin care tips here.
When it comes to choosing skin care products then we would suggest using lotions and creams that contain natural acids:
Alpha-Hydroxy acids (AHAs) come from milk, fruit and sugar cane and can help to clear away the dead cells on the surface of your skin. These products encourage collagen growth which helps to smooth out wrinkles and firm your skin. They also protect your skin by combating free radicals, rogue oxygen molecules in your body that damage skin. Ironically AHAs can cause skin irritation to some people so make sure you do a patch test before using.
Aloe Vera Gel contains malic acid and is a powerful skin healer found in many skin care products. As well as helping keep your skin young and healthy it is also used to treat skin injuries such as minor burns, cuts, grazes, psoriasis or even acne. You actually don’t even need to buy an aloe vera based product to benefit from this wonderful gift from nature. You can grow aloe vera plants in your own home and cut off leaves at the base to scrape out your own gel.
Papayas are full of enzymes that can etch away the top layer of your skin lessening the appearance of lines and wrinkles. Again this is something you can do for yourself from home, mixing 2 table spoons of papaya pulp with a table spoon full of oatmeal to provide your own skin exfoliant.
As always at lknaturals this is not an exhaustive list of suggestions - just something to get you started. And if you’re looking for a good skin care product to set you off on the right track then take there are worse places to start than this hyaluronic acid product.
